Deacon Alex LePorter Flint received his wings on Saturday, June 04, 2022, and peacefully entered the waiting arms of our Lord and Savior at Memorial Health University Medical Hospital surrounded by family. His precious memories will be treasured by his loving and devoted wife, Ruthie G. Flint.
Mr. Flint was a 1968 graduate of Jasper County High School in Ridgeland, South Carolina. He served honorably with the United States Air Force. After he returned home from the military, he worked for CSX Railroad in Savannah, Georgia up until retirement.
Mr. Flint was a very active leader in his community, notable capacities under the Masonic Order. He was always willing to give you encouragement or support when needed.
His memories will forever be cherished by; his devoted wife; Ruthie G. Flint, two sons; Arthur (Christina) Gregory and Gregory (Wendy) Flint, his mother in law; Mrs. Beatrice S. Gregory, a daughter in love; Ericka Gordon, Eight grandchildren, Eight great grandchildren, his brother; Cyler (Sarah) Flint, his sister; Natasha Flint, his uncles; Elder Harold (Fannie) Wright and Richard (Pearl) Hicks, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends and other relatives. A Walk-Thru will be held at Second Euhaw Baptist Church (Bees Creek Road) in Ridgeland, South Carolina on Thursday, June 9, 2022, from 6-8 PM
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 10, 2022, at Mount Carmel Baptist Center in Ridgeland, South Carolina at 10:00 AM
Burial will take place on Monday, June 13, 2022, at Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort, South Carolina.
