Deacon Franklin P. Jenkins, Sr., 84 years old of Burton, South Carolina, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2023, at Beaufort Memorial Hospital in Beaufort, South Carolina.
Mr. Jenkins attended the Good Hope School in Ridgeland, South Carolina. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior and joined Second Euhaw Baptist Church in Grahamville, South Carolina and became a Deacon.
He was a loving person and had a kind word for all who knew him. Mr. Jenkins had loved to sing; he was the founder of The Jenkins Gospel Singers.
He leaves his love for memories to his family; Two sons; Franklin (Victory) Jenkins and Calvin (Shelia) Jenkins, Six daughters; Barbara Jenkins, Linette Jenkins, Tara Singleton, Patricia Williams, Sandra Wittingham and Octavia Jenkins, One brother; Edward(Ganelle) Jenkins, Two sisters; Virgie Mae Orage and Delores (Benjamin) Warren, Two sisters in law; Emma Jenkins and Gail Jenkins, Six stepchildren; Linda (Tony) Roberts, Christine (Jose) Green, Michael (Nadine) Washington, Isaiah Washington, Edward Washington and Arnetta Washington, Five brothers in law and three sisters in law, Sixteen grandchildren, Twenty-four great grandchildren and Two great, great grandchildren. An exceptionally good friend; Mr. Johnny Richardson, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A Walk-Thru will be held on Friday, July 21, 2023, at Bostick Funeral Home Chapel in Ridgeland, South Carolina from 5-7 PM.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Kingdom Touch Ministries in Ridgeland, South Carolina at 12:00 Noon.
A Viewing will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Kingdom Touch Ministries an hour prior to service from 11:00 AM-12:00 Noon.
Burial will take place at Roseland Cemetery in Ridgeland, South Carolina.
Always remember to wear a mask, you protect others as well as yourself, mask works best when everyone wears one. A mask is not a substitute for social distancing, masks should be worn in addition to staying 6 feet apart, especially when indoors around people who do not live in your household.
