Elder John A. Mills, Jr.

Elder John A. Mills, Jr. 74 years old of Ridgeland, South Carolina, passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021, at Coastal Carolina Hospital in Hardeeville, South Carolina. He joined the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in the 1950s. Over the years, he served as First Elder and Sabbath School Teacher faithfully. He had a profound love for God, his church, and community at large. It was Mr. Mills life mission to share the love of Christ with all he came into contact with.  

He leaves behind his loving and devoted wife, Valerie E. Mills, one devoted son, John Alexander Mills III, and a loving daughter JaNae E. Mills; one loving granddaughter Lily Bell; two sisters, Gwendolyn (Cosmo) Jacobs and Wendy (Donald) Kensie, sister-in-law, Elsie Mills, two aunts, Anne Redmond and Dasoline Mills and a host of nieces, nephew, cousins, friends, and loved ones.

A Public Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at Bostick Funeral Home Chapel in Ridgeland, South Carolina from 6-7 PM.

Due to COVID, a Private Service (with only close family and church family) will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at First Ridgeland SDAC in Ridgeland, South Carolina.

Remember to wear a mask, you protect others as well as yourself, masks works best when everyone wears one. A mask is not a substitute for social distancing, masks should be worn in addition to staying 6 feet apart, especially when indoors around people who do not live in your household.
