Mr. Edward Jaudon Diggs, 76 years old, formally of Ridgeland, South Carolina, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021 in Texas. He graduated Jasper High School in 1963 where he excelled in many subjects, but his true love was math. Mr. Diggs also played the trumpet and most brilliantly. He would also meet the love of his life Eldora Margie Bright-Diggs. He entered the Air Force right after graduating and was stationed in San Juan, Puerto Rico Air Force – While based in San Juan Mr. Diggs continued to court his wife to be and even pursued collegiate endeavors in the areas of science and math, two of his favorite subjects. Once his initial time in the Air Force was complete, he proposed to his high school sweetheart. On October 29, 1967, they were married in Ridgeland, South Carolina. After getting married Mr. Diggs and Mrs. Margie (Eldora) moved to New York, New York.
Mr. Diggs also came into ministry, as he had always had a connection with the Lord and with Mrs. Margie as his loving and supportive wife he would gently pursue this through the rest of his life. The family moved back to Ridgeland where he worked in insurance for a time. Mr. Diggs,
retired in 2012, it gave him more time to spend with his beloved wife and to do some traveling with her before her passing in 2013. As a widower, he would come to do some traveling and see one of his daughters move cross country and see his other daughter become an entrepreneur. He would remarry Ada Kinlaw and they would be married for 5 years until his passing.
Mr. Diggs leaves these souls to cherish and uphold his legacy of Godly love and wisdom to his children Yvette M. Diggs, Shalome M. Stein, Aydan E. G. Diggs (grandson), James Stein (son in law), Christipher Miller (son in law), His loving wife; Ada K. Diggs, Four Step-Children; Eureka (Benjamin) Fields, Robert Kinlaw, Ezretta Singleton and Trendella James, a host of his step-Grandchildren, Brothers and Sisters (immediate maternal): Mrs. Sarah (Will) Yancey, Mrs. Joan (Ron) Gillard, Mr. Stephen Spann, Mrs. Carol (John) O’Neal, Mr. Michael (Kathy) Spann, Mrs. Delores Mungin, Brother and Sister in laws; Earnest Bright, Mary Bright and Wilma Bright. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and relatives.
A Walk-Thru will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Bostick Funeral Home Chapel in Ridgeland, South Carolina from 5-7 PM
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 01, 2021; 11:00 AM at Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Center in Ridgeland, South Carolina
Burial will take place at Grahamville Cemetery in Ridgeland, South Carolina
