Mr. Edward Pinckney Toomer

Mr. Edward Pinckney Toomer, 73 years old of Ridgeland, South Carolina, passed away on Sunday, November 03, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Toomer was a graduate of Ridgeland High School in Ridgeland, South Carolina. He was a member of New Zion Baptist Church in Mitchellville Community located in Ridgeland, South Carolina. 

Mr. Toomer was employed with Sea Pines on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina and with Malphrus Construction Company for many years until his retirement.

He had a passion for sports, he had coached the Mitchellville Community players in baseball and football. 

Mr. Toomer leaves to cherish his memories; His father; Rufus P. Toomer, Sr., his brother; Rufus P. (Deborah) Toomer, Jr., his daughters; Sharon Mervin and Penny (Larry) Smalls, 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins,
 other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 08, 2024, at New Zion Baptist Church in Ridgeland, South Carolina at 12:00 Noon.

The viewing will be held on Friday, November 08, 2024, at the church from 10:30 AM-12:00 Noon.

Burial will take place at King Cemetery in Ridgeland, South Carolina.

Always remember to wear a mask, to protect others as well as yourself, mask works best when everyone wears one. A mask is not a substitute for social distancing, masks should be worn in addition to staying 6 feet apart, especially when indoors around people who do not live in your household.
