Mr. Herbert Chest

Mr. Herbert Chest, 86 years old of New York City, New York, formerly of Ridgeland, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, November 01, 2023, at Amsterdam Nursing Home in New York City.

Mr. Chest was a graduated of Ridgeland High School in Ridgeland, South Carolina. He had a passion for fixing air conditioning and every appliance you can imagine. He was an excellent repair man who enjoyed helping to fix things for people when it was broken.

Mr. Chest loved spending time with his family, he was such a devoted brother and was always concerned about his family.

His memories will always be cherished by his loved ones; Two sisters; Betty Howard and Mattie Simmons, One brother-in-law; Simon Simmons, Sr., Two sisters in law; Ethel Rivene and Florrie Johnson. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Bostick Funeral Home Chapel in Ridgeland, South Carolina at 1:00 PM.

Prior to funeral service, there will be a viewing from 12:00 Noon-1:00 PM at Bostick Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, November 11, 2023.

Burial will take place at King Cemetery in Ridgeland, South Carolina.

Always remember to wear a mask, to protect others as well as yourself, mask works best when everyone wears one. A mask is not a substitute for social distancing, masks should be worn in addition to staying 6 feet apart, especially when indoors around people who do not live in your household.
