Mr. Herman Smith Dessasure, 70 years old of Robertville, South Carolina, passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at his residence, surrounded by his family.
Mr. Dessasure was educated at Jasper County School system in Ridgeland, South Carolina. At an early age he joined Mount Mariah Baptist Church in Pineland, South Carolina, where he was the senior usher. He was a faithful member for many years, until his illness prevented him from attending.
He was employed with (Fuller Chevrolet), now known as Rincon Chevrolet for over 30 years until his retirement.
Mr. Dessasure was a helpful person, and he had so much love for his family, especially his children.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories are his loving children; Kim D. Watson, Stacy D. Murray and Herman L. Dessasure, a host of grandchildren and great grands, two brothers; Calvin “Beaver” Dessasure and Bobby “Dap” Furman, two sisters; Rachel F. Harris and Tamika N. Furman, two stepsisters; Zora Mae Hazelton and Lillie Ruth Mack, three aunts; Lillian S. Brown, Evangelist Trudell Smith and Victoria T. Garvin, one uncle; Charlie Gray. A host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
A Walk-Thru will be held on Saturday, October 04, 2025, at Bostick Funeral Home Chapel in Ridgeland, South Carolina from 5-7 PM.
Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, October 05, 2025, at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church at 2012 Gillison Branch Road in Pineland, South Carolina 29934 at 3:00 PM.
Burial will take place at Mount Mariah Baptist Church Cemetery in Pineland, South Carolina.
Always remember to wear a mask, to protect others as well as yourself, mask works best when everyone wears one. A mask is not a substitute for social distancing, masks should be worn in addition to staying 6 feet apart, especially when indoors around people who do not live in your household.
