Mr. Jake Brown, III

Mr. Jake Brown, III  88 years old of Ridgeland, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, July 08, 2023, at Beaufort Memorial Hospital in Beaufort, South Carolina.

Mr. Brown was educated through Jasper Training School in Ridgeland, South Carolina. After graduation, he moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he was drafted into the United States Army. He was assigned in Kentucky, where he worked in guided missiles and became a member of the distinguished 101 Airborne Division. After completion of military and receiving an honorable discharged, he relocated back to Philadelphia.

In 1966, Mr. Brown continued his education at Philadelphia Technical Institute, where he became certified in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, upon graduation a few years later he began his own heating and air business.

Mr. Brown gave his life to the Lord and was baptized at an early age. He joined Canaan Baptist Church, in Philadelphia, and was ordained as a Deacon. Mr. Brown loved the Lord and was always eager to learn more about Christ.

He leaves to cherish his love to his loving  wife; Mrs. Arnie V. “Vickie” Brown, a devoted son; Rodney Brown, a beautiful granddaughter; Aliyah Brown and (John) Thornton, one great granddaughter; little miss Journi Thornton, an adopted daughter; Dr. Helena Tillar, Three brothers in law; Wallace Anderson, Riley (Carol) Anderson and Odell Anderson, and one sister in law; Euthine Anderson. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Walk-Thru will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023, at Bostick Funeral Home Chapel in Ridgeland, South Carolina from 6-8 PM.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Kingdom Touch Ministries in Ridgeland South Carolina at 1:00 PM.

Burial will be held on Monday, July 17, 2023, at Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort, South Carolina at 12:00 Noon.

Always remember to wear a mask, you protect others as well as yourself, mask works best when everyone wears one. A mask is not a substitute for social distancing, masks should be worn in addition to staying 6 feet apart, especially when indoors around people who do not live in your household.
