Mr. James Williamson, 81 years old of Charlotte, North Carolina, formerly of Robertville, South Carolina, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Cardinal Care ALF in Dunn, North Carolina.
Mr. Williamson was educated in the Jasper County School system. After graduation, he moved to New York City in pursuit of career opportunity and advancement as a young man. He landed a job he loved and retired after 40 years working for the company.
After retirement he moved home to Robertville, South Carolina, took on a part time job with Jasper County Public Works. Mr. Williamson joined Mount Zion AME Church in Garnett, South Carolina, and became an active member, he worked faithfully as long as his health had allowed.
He leaves to cherish his memories to; Two daughters; Michelle Williamson and LaKisha McNeil and four sons; Keith (Evon), Darwin (Tracy) and James (Cynthia) Jr., Williamson and eighteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A host of family and numerous friends.
A Walk-Thru will be held on Tuesday, March 05, 2024, at Bostick Funeral Home Chapel in Ridgeland, South Carolina from 5-7 PM.
Funeral Service will be taken place on Wednesday, March 06, 2024, at Mount Zion AME Church in Garnett, South Carolina at 11:00 AM.
Prior to funeral service there will be viewing from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at the church on Wednesday.
Always remember to wear a mask, to protect others as well as yourself, mask works best when everyone wears one. A mask is not a substitute for social distancing, masks should be worn in addition to staying 6 feet apart, especially when indoors around people who do not live in your household.
