Mr. Leroy Wright, 81 years old of Ridgeland, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Beaufort Memorial Hospital in Beaufort, South Carolina.
Mr. Wright attended Jasper County Schools in Ridgeland, South Carolina. After he graduated from the High School, he moved to New York City and started working for a Trucking Company for several years. Later he started a career with New York City Transit driving bus.
After retiring from driving for New York City Transit, he moved back down South to be with his parents. Mr. Wright had enjoyed traveling to and from different states, but his most enjoyment came from being around his family and friends.
He leaves to cherish his memories; One son; Colonel (Ret.) Kenneth (Lisa) Wright, Two loving granddaughters; Natalie and Nicole Wright, His brother; Henry (Elizabeth (Liz) Wright, Two sisters; Jessie Wright-Tyler and Elizabeth Wright-Moore. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Walk-Thru will be held on Thursday, April 06, 2023, at Bostick Funeral Home Chapel in Ridgeland, South Carolina from 5-7 PM.
Viewing will be held at Saint Matthew Baptist Church in Ridgeland, South Carolina from 10:00-11:00AM on Friday, April 07, 2023.
Funeral Service will be on Friday, April 07, 2023, at Saint Matthew Baptist Church in Ridgeland, South Carolina at 11:00 AM.
Burial will take place at Richardson Memorial Cemetery in Ridgeland, South Carolina.
Always remember to wear a mask, you protect others as well as yourself, mask works best when everyone wears one. A mask is not a substitute for social distancing, masks should be worn in addition to staying 6 feet apart, especially when indoors around people who do not live in your household.
