Mr. Richard Allen Smith, 81 years old of Robertville, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at Hampton Regional Medical Center in Varnville, South Carolina.
Mr. Smith was also known as “Rich" he was a graduate of Jasper County School in 1961. He joined the United States Army, after serving his country, he went on to Bronx, New York.
Mr. Smith worked for the United State Postal Service there in the city for some years, he was a diligent man. He loved spending time with his family and friends along with enjoying remodeling antique cars after purchasing them. His heart and love were always about being honest and loyal to each other most importantly having respect for one another in which goes a long way.
Mr. Smith leaves to treasure his memories; His daughters; Demress Diaz (Lawrence) and Monee’ Smith, His sons; Richard A. Smith, Jr., Eugene Smith and Khorey Smith,(Asia) Seven grandchildren, His brothers; James Scott and Samuel S. Smith, His sister; Helen Stokes, His brothers in law; Ervin Waters, William H. Wright, Harold Wright, Elvin Wright and Nathaniel Jenkins, His sisters in law; Jannie Bush, Rose Harris and Dorothy Devore, His godsons; Michael Hambrick and Quron A. Lezama. Along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends all over the world.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, May 06, 2023, 10:00 AM-11:00 AM, at Bostick Funeral Home Chapel in Ridgeland, South Carolina. An hour prior to his service.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 06, 2023, at Bostick Funeral Home Chapel in Ridgeland, South Carolina, at 11:00 AM.
Burial will take place at Lawton Cemetery in Robertville, South Carolina.
Always remember to wear a mask, you protect others as well as yourself, mask works best when everyone wears one. A mask is not a substitute for social distancing, masks should be worn in addition to staying 6 feet apart, especially when indoors around people who do not live in your household.
