Mrs. Annie Lee "Ella" Mervin-Rice

Mrs. Annie Lee "Ella" Mervin-Rice, 80 years old of Ridgeland, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at The Reserve Nursing Home in Pooler, Georgia.

Mrs. Rice was a graduate of Jasper High School in Ridgeland, South Carolina. She was baptized and a member of New Zion Baptist Church in Ridgeland, South Carolina, where she served on the Usher Board, Charity Board, the Senior Choir and Sunday School.

Mrs. Rice was employed at Garland Knitting Mill in Beaufort, South Carolina for many years. She was a generous, helpful, and who think of other people’s feelings.

She leaves to cherish her memories; her son; Brian Christopher (Robbin) Mervin, two sisters-in-law; Ruthie G. Mervin and Edna Cuyler, one niece, two nephews, three grandnieces, six grandnephews, one aunt; Lillie B. Singleton, and many cousins and friends.

Funeral will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023, at New Zion Baptist Church in Mitchellville Community in Ridgeland South Carolina, at 11:00 AM.

Burial will take place at Grahamville Cemetery in Ridgeland, South Carolina.

Always remember to wear a mask, to protect others as well as yourself, mask works best when everyone wears one. A mask is not a substitute for social distancing, masks should be worn in addition to staying 6 feet apart, especially when indoors around people who do not live in your household.
