Mrs. Betty L Garvin

 Mrs. Betty L. Garvin, 84 years old of Pineland, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at her residence.

At an early age, Mrs. Betty joined Gillison Branch Baptist Church in Pineland, South Carolina, where she served on the Usher Board as the President and a member of Pastor Aide Club, she was such a dedicated member.

Mrs. Betty was a true Saint of God, her spirit towards others will never be forgotten.

Her love for her family will be forever cherished by her Two Daughters; Deloris (Terry) Brice and Betty Jean (John) Smalls, Two Sons; Alexander “Popeye” Garvin and Elmer (Sandy) Garvin, Jr. and a Son she raised as her own; Jerrold Garvin, Her Daughter in Law; Patricia Garvin, Her Son in Law; Morris Lawyer, Sisters in Law; Irene Elizabeth, Eunice King, Lair King, Vera Wilson, Van Johnson and  Jackie Randolph, Brothers in Law; Harold (Chris) Garvin and Earl (Emma) Garvin, Twenty-two Grandchildren, Twenty-five Great Grandchildren and Five Great Great Grandchildren. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of dear friends.

A Walk-Thru will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at Bostick Funeral Home Chapel in Ridgeland, South Carolina from 5-7 PM

Funeral Service will be held on the grounds of Gillison Branch Baptist Church in Pineland, South Carolina on Friday, October 29, 2021, at 12:00 Noon

Burial will take place at Gillison Branch Baptist Church Cemetery in Pineland, South Carolina

Always remember to wear a mask, you protect others as well as yourself, masks works best when everyone wears one. A mask is not a substitute for social distancing, masks should be worn in addition to staying 6 feet apart, especially when indoors around people who do not live in your household.
