Mrs. Cornelia Marie Duncan Phelps, 59 years old of Pineland, South Carolina, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023, at Memorial Medical University in Savannah, Georgia.
She was affectionally known as Marie, her middle name, Marie graduated from Ridgeland High School in Ridgeland, South Carolina. She was employed as a Manager at McDonald’s for many years until her health started to fail.
At an early age Marie gave her life to Christ, she was a member of Jacob Temple Church of God in Wagon Branch Community in Ridgeland South Carolina, under the leadership of Pastor Lizzie Wright.
Marie was a kind person always with a smile when you see her. She believed and lived with love, just as God intend for us all to be.
Her memories will forever be cherished; her loving life partner; Robert Patterson, two sisters; Gloria Duncan (Thomas) Riley, Willie Mae Duncan, two adopted children; Jacquelin Scott and Lucious Patterson, six aunts; Richiedeen Heyward, Mable Hart, Willie Mae Sapp, Rose Mary (Clarence) Parker, Lisa Duncan and Patricia (James) Bryant, four uncles; Thomas (Mary) Housey, John Housey, Edward (Coretta) Housey and Clyde (Connie) Housey. A host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, cousins, and friends.
A Walk-Thru will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023, at Bostick Funeral Home Chapel in Ridgeland, South Carolina from 5-7 PM.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Bostick Funeral Home Chapel in Ridgeland, South Carolina at 11:00 AM.
Burial will take place at Grahamville Cemetery in Ridgeland, South Carolina.
Always remember to wear a mask, to protect others as well as yourself, mask works best when everyone wears one. A mask is not a substitute for social distancing, masks should be worn in addition to staying 6 feet apart, especially when indoors around people who do not live in your household.
