Mrs. Daisy Patterson-Burrison, 86 years old of New York, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at her daughter’s residence.
Mrs. Burrison was educated in Jasper County public schools.
She moved to New York, there she landed a job as a Mail Handler for the United States Postal Service, she loved her job, and worked until she retired.
Mrs. Burrison became a member of Saint Mark’s AME Church in East Elmhurst, New York under the leadership of Reverend Kim Detrick. She loved the Lord, and always had a strong faith in God. Mrs. Burrison had a kind heart, she had never met a stranger because, if they were in need, she always made sure to lend her talent cooking for others who could no later take care of themselves, this was indeed a ministry through God.
Mrs. Burrison leaves to cherish her love through her two loving daughters; Antionette Burrison and Yvette (Rufus) Gadsden, her three brothers; Deacon Isaac, Luke, and George Patterson, two sisters; Sadie Drayton and Gertrude Stephens. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, loving friends, and neighbors.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Bostick Funeral Home Chapel in Ridgeland, South Carolina at 2:30 PM.
Burial will take place at Patterson Cemetery in Ridgeland, South Carolina.
Always remember to wear a mask, to protect others as well as yourself, mask works best when everyone wears one. A mask is not a substitute for social distancing, masks should be worn in addition to staying 6 feet apart, especially when indoors around people who do not live in your household.
