Mrs. Dorothy Johnson Orr

Mrs. Dorothy Johnson Orr, 74 years old of Ridgeland, South Carolina, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022, at Coastal Carolina Hospital in Hardeeville. South Carolina. 

Mrs. Dot was a graduate of Jasper County High School in Ridgeland, South Carolina. Her passion was always helping others when she can, Mrs. Dot would always be taking care of children, mostly family too.  Any time you said you are hungry, if she's cooking, you were sure welcome to get a plate of food. 

Mrs. Dot leaves to cherish her loving memories are; her children; Christopher (Sandra) Johnson, James "Boo" Orr, Jr., Lamont Orr and Katina Orr, a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, her siblings; Virginia J. Gaines, Bernice Johnson, Annie (Hayes) Brown and Eddie Lee Brown, one aunt; Hazel Little, brother and sisters in law; Sammy (Ruby) Orr, Evelyn J. Woods and Deloris Orr, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.  

A Walk-Thru will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022, at Bostick Funeral Home Chapel in Ridgeland, South Carolina from 5-7 PM.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at 1:00 PM, at Mount Zion AME Church in Garnett, South Carolina.

Burial will take place at King Branch Baptist Church Cemetery in Garnett, South Carolina.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO WEAR A MASK. YOU PROTECT OTHERS AS WELL AS YOURSELF.  MASKS WORK BEST WHEN EVERYONE WEARS ONE.  A MASK IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR SOCIAL DISTANCING.  MASKS SHOULD BE WORN IN ADDITION TO STAYING AT LEAST 6 FEET APART, ESPECIALLY WHEN INDOORS AND AROUND PEOPLE WHO DO NOT LIVE IN YOUR HOUSEHOLD.
