Mrs. Earline Newton- Scott, 83 years old of Ridgeland, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her family. Mrs. Scott was educated in the Public Schools of Hampton County.
At an early age, Mrs. Scott gave her life to Christ at Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Estill, South Carolina, where she accepted Christ as her personal savior under the pastorate Sound and Leadership of the late Benjamin “Ben” Burrison Sr., Pastor Emeritus and now Reverend Joseph Steve.
Mrs. Scott was a homemaker for several years, until 1984 when she begins working at the Palms restaurant in Ridgeland, South Carolina as a cook. The Palms restaurant would have the entire town waiting in line for lunch for her chicken and biscuits. She later retired in 2002, and till this day, her chicken and biscuits could not be duplicated.
After she retired, she focus on spending quality time with her family. She would always express her love and caring demeaner and brought so much joy in everyone’s life with her easy-going positive spirit.
Her loving and caring family will truly miss her present; Six daughters; Pearl Smart, Diane (Vernon) Rhodan, Debbie Scott (Frank), Barbara (Gerald) Doe, Darlene Scott, and Sandra Scott (Ron), Two sons; Jimmy (Mary) Scott, and Jerry Scott, Fifteen grandchildren, Ten great children, One sister; Rosa Telfor, One sister-in law; Helen Newton, One brother-in law; Edward Solomon. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends.
Walk-Thru will be held on Monday, May 20, 2024, at Bostick Funeral Home Chapel in Ridgeland, South Carolina from 5-7 PM.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 50 Good Hope Road, Estill, South Carolina at 11:00 AM.
Burial will take place at the church cemetery.
Always remember to wear a mask, to protect others as well as yourself, mask works best when everyone wears one. A mask is not a substitute for social distancing, masks should be worn in addition to staying 6 feet apart, especially when indoors around people who do not live in your household.
