Mrs. Emily Smalls Gilliard

Mrs. Emily Smalls Gilliard, 93 years old formally of Ridgeland, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023, in Pleasanton, CA with her daughter by her side.

Mrs. Gilliard was a homemaker and a dietician when she was in New York City, when all the children entered school. After she retired, she moved back to South Carolina and got involved with helping Low Country Council in South Carolina, making sure the senior citizens received their benefits.

Mrs. Gilliard leaves to cherish her love; her daughter; Laura M. Miller, her sons; Darryl and Robert Gilliard, Jr., five grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023, 11:00 AM at Doe Pond Missionary Baptist Church 5663 Revolutionary Trl Martin SC 29836,  

Burial will take place at Richardson Memorial Cemetery in Ridgeland,
South Carolina.
