Mrs. Marie Brown, 81 years old of Tarboro Community in Tillman, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2022, at her daughter’s residence in North Charleston, South Carolina.
Mrs. Brown attended Robertville School in Robertville, South Carolina, she was a basketball athlete at heart. Mrs. Brown was joined in holy matrimony to Mr. Leewy Brown on September 01, 1959. To this union five children were born, she raised their children to have love and respect for God and themselves as well as for others. Mrs. Brown was a faithful member of Bethel AME Church for twenty years, where she served as a secretary of the church and sang on the choir. She later on joined her husband membership at Saint Mary Baptist Church in Tarboro, South Carolina, where she sang on the Senior Choir.
Mrs. Brown leaves to mourn her love she left behind; her husband; Mr. Leewy Brown, their children; Levi (Yolonda) Brown, Jr., Darlene (Thearon) Nelson, Jeanette Morgan, Mary Ann (Marvin) Cuyler and Jacqueline (Deacon Roy A.) Green, her siblings; Mrs. Hattie Mae Harrison, Mrs. Loretta (Wesley) Pinckney and Mr. James Crosby (Alease) Fuller, Special siblings raised by her mother; Mrs. Etta Fantroy, Mr. James Sheftall, Ms. Deloris Johnson and Mr. Sam Jackson, Eleven Grandchildren and Twelve Great Grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at Mount Carmel Baptist Center in Ridgeland, South Carolina at 11:00 AM.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at Mount Carmel Baptist Center in Ridgeland, South Carolina, from 10:00-11:00 AM only.
Burial will take place at Carroll Cemetery in Tarboro Community in Tillman, South Carolina.
Always remember to wear a mask, you protect others as well as yourself, mask works best when everyone wears one. A mask is not a substitute for social distancing, masks should be worn in addition to staying 6 feet apart, especially when indoors around people who do not live in your household.
