Mrs. Mary L. Parker-Jenkins, 87 years old of Kissimmee, Florida, formerly of Gillisonville, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, with her family at her residence
Mrs. Jenkins relocated at the age of seven from South Carolina to Philadelphia and was educated in the Public School System. She was a constant fixture in the Philadelphia public schools as a volunteer before starting her career at Ford Automotive. She retired as a Union Representative from Ford. She relocated after retirement to South Carolina to be closer to her mother and youngest brother Ricky in 1999.
She left South Carolina to make a home in Florida in 2021. She enjoyed time with friends, planning board games, traveling and being with family.
Mrs. Jenkins leaves to mourn her siblings; Pamela Williams and Ricky Parker, her daughters Crystal (Jeffrey) Wilson-Travis, Regina Wilson, six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and three great- great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Antioch Baptist Church, 7293 Cotton Hill Road in Pineland, South Carolina, at 2:00 PM.
Burial will take place at Rockspring Cemetery in Grays, South Carolina.
Always remember to wear a mask, to protect others as well as yourself, mask works best when everyone wears one. A mask is not a substitute for social distancing, masks should be worn in addition to staying 6 feet apart, especially when indoors around people who do not live in your household.
