Mrs. Sarah Henderson

Mrs. Sarah Henderson, 81 years old of Newark, New Jersey, passed away on Saturday, May 07, 2022, at University Hospital in Newark, New Jersey. Mrs. Henderson attended Jasper County Public School, where she became interested in cooking, gardening and sewing. She was a home health aide and most notably her thirty plus years with Newark Public Schools. Mrs. Henderson always made time to volunteer and served free breakfast and lunch to deserving neighborhood children. She also raised and fostered many children, who end up staying and becoming a part of her family. Mrs. Henderson was a member of Cathedral of Faith Baptist Church, where she served as a deaconess and had membered different ministries. She had a true love for God, that never failed because of her faith in Him. 

She leaves to cherish her memories; Three daughters; Valerie, Kia and Erica (Kenneth), Two sons; Keith and Adrian, Eighteen grandchildren, Ten great grandchildren, Four sisters; Authoree Simmons, Lavania (Wesley) Pinckney, Elastine (Roderick) Stewart and Doretha (John) Blassingame, One brother; Nathaniel (Mamie) Brown, Three step children; Sammie, Jr., Benjamin and Tamara, Her special children; Qadriyyah Williams, Shakema Bell, Lawrence Moss and Kisha Crooks, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. 

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at Bostick Funeral Home Chapel in Ridgeland, South Carolina at 11:00 am.

Burial will take place at Carroll Cemetery in Tarboro, South Carolina.
