Mrs. Wilhelmina E. Upchurch Taylor, 95 years old of Pineland, South Carolina, passed away on Monday, September 04, 2023, in Charleston, South Carolina with her daughter.
Mrs. Taylor attended Cypress Creek Elementary School in Pineland, South Carolina. Later she went on to a sister in Columbia, South Carolina, to complete her high school in Beaufort, South Carolina with her older brother. After school she moved with her sister in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she landed a job and eventually moved into her own place.
Mrs. Taylor attended nursing school for a brief time and became a Practical Nurse working with elderly individuals. She had a passion for crocheting and had loved to do it for herself and others that was her signature with a “gift of love.”
She had loved the Lord and always ministered to the Daufuskie Church by her late husband’s side. She had continued strong in the church, always engaging, and being involved. Mrs. Taylor had stayed strong in God’s words until her health failed.
Mrs. Taylor memories will always be cherished by her loved ones; a son; Anthony (Michelle) Taylor and her loving daughter; Patricia (Lance, Sr.) Boone, her; 11 Grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren, and 4 Great-Great Grandchildren. One brother-in-law; Elmore Hodges, along with a host of nieces, great grand nephews, cousins and many loyal friends and neighbors.
A Walk-Thru will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at Bostick Funeral Home Chapel in Ridgeland, South Carolina from 5-7PM.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023, at Good Hope Baptist Church, 3263 Cohen Road in Pineland, South Carolina 29934 at 11:00 AM.
Burial will take place at the church cemetery.
Always remember to wear a mask, you protect others as well as yourself, mask works best when everyone wears one. A mask is not a substitute for social distancing, masks should be worn in addition to staying 6 feet apart, especially when indoors around people who do not live in your household.
